Course Content Outline

First three-and-a-half-day workshop:


There will be written, audio, and video material suggested for participants to review before this first workshop.

Thursday night: 6:00 to 9:00 pm


Keith welcomes participants and reaffirms the goals and commitments of the program. He explains his responsibility to establish and maintain the healing/learning/transformational container dedicated to horizontal and vertical health/development professionally/personally. He explains the outline of the upcoming workshop (which has already been posted on the site).

Topics Covered:

  • AQAL as language and meta-theory.
  • Attunement exercise.
  • Identify clueless, mindless, mindful, and dialed-in in specific circumstances with yourself.
  • Transmission: We discuss the experience of transmitting from vTURQUOISE altitude with increasing violet stable connections with the Other World.

Friday: 9:30 to 5:30


  • Yoga: Hatchi Dan Keen
  • More on AQAL and the Spiral. We practice applications to individual, couples, and group work.
  • We discuss the importance of ongoing contemplative practices. We practice attunement.
  • We further explore each participant’s Natural Healing Style using presentation, discussion, and mind mapping.

Saturday: 9:30 to 5:30


  • Yoga
  • We learn contemplative practices designed to stabilize our connections to Spirit in the therapy session.
  • The universal intake: What questions reveal the most about new clients.
  • We discuss erotic polarity, sexual aspect and essence, and how to integrate it into the therapy session with different worldviews at different relational stages.
  • I describe and discuss three arousal systems: lust–romantic infatuation–intimate bonding.
  • We discuss he life stage transitions through lust, romantic infatuation, intimate bonding, transition into parenthood, into family, into middle age, into children leaving, into older age, into death.

Saturday night dinner party at Keith’s house.


Sunday: 9:30 to 4:00


  • Yoga: Hatchi Dan Keen
  • We discuss how our intersubjectivity has developed over the last three days.
  • I further demonstrate stable connections with the other world during sessions.
  • We introduce couples therapy as a field and how what we’re learning applies.
  • Darshan.

  15. Sexual essence and aspect, masculine and feminine types, and how to manage them in the therapy session.
  16. Stages of bonding and what each requires in therapy..

  18. Terry Real’s relationship grid and his principles of conjoint therapy–strengths and weaknesses.
  19. The John Gottman approach to conjoint therapy–especially using his data to organize the work.
  20. Divorce: What a separation session is and how to do it.
  21. Integrally informed couples therapy.
  22. Integrally informed family therapy.
  23. Addiction, what it is and how to deal with it in the therapy session.
  24. Dreamwork.
  25. Gestalt therapy: the basis of so much of current thought and practice.
  26. EMDR/ Reconsolidation therapy/trauma work.
  27. Somatic re-experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and trauma work.
  28. Borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder: how to diagnose the traits and low/medium/high functioning versions of the disorders, and how to deal with them in the therapy session.
  29. Transference and countertransference: positive, negative, and sexual
  30. Depression/anxiety/OCD.
  31. Cultivating laughter and humor while dealing with multiple levels of hostility/threat in you and clients in the session.
  32. Consulting with other professionals.
  33. Consolidation 1: Review and explore previous assignments, experiences, journal entries, looking for integration and insight.
  34. Consolidation 2: Review and explore previous assignments, experiences, journal entries, looking for integration and insight.
  35. Preparing for each participant’s 5 to 10 minute TEDx-type presentation in our upcoming in-person Santa Barbara weekend.

Second three-and-a-half-day workshop:


Thursday night: 6:00 to 9:00 pm


We greet each other and begin telling our stories of the last nine months. I introduce everyone to the recording and presentation process we will be engaging in over the next three days.

Friday: 9:30 to 5:30


  • Yoga: Hatchi Dan Keen
  • We begin with participants’ recording TEDx-style talks on the subjects of their choice, with group feedback and participation.

Saturday: 9:30 to 5:30


  • Yoga: Hatchi Dan Keen
  • We review contemplative practices designed to stabilize our connections to Spirit in the therapy session.
  • We continue presentations and discussions of the presentations.

Saturday night dinner party at Keith’s house.


Sunday: 9:30 to 4:00


  • Yoga: Hatchi Dan Keen
  • We discuss how our intersubjectivity has developed over the last nine months.
  • We discuss and practice stable connections with the other world during sessions.
  • We help each other determine what is next in our individual and collective journeys.
  • Darshan.

Program Application


Application Details

This program application will require 10-15 minutes to fill out completely. Note that we will collect $200 via credit card at the end of this application form. Some applicants will be invited to a 20 - 60 minute phone interview with Dr. Keith Witt.

If you are not invited to join the program we will refund your $200 application fee to the same card you use to pay the fee.

If you are invited to the 20 - 60 minute phone interview and are then invited to participate in the Integral Master Therapist Program, your $200 application fee will be applied to your tuition.
